GIS Services was established as a subsidiary of the Germany based PTW GmbH. We are a young, dynamic company backed by a team of experts in different areas of GIS, geodesy and IT. For six years now, our expertise has been valued by self-governments, distribution network managers, industrial corporations and other users of geographic user systems.

Our project oriented organizational structure allows to assemble teams of experts matching the needs of individual projects. This way we can provide for the best and most efficient implementation of your project. If necessary, our internal staff can be joined by external research experts and academics.

Since its establishment, GIS Services has always been a product independent company. We do not focus exclusively on using only one technology, on the contrary – we focus on the customer’s needs. Based on the customer’s individual requirements we propose the ideal platform for building a geographic information system. Our independence provides room for creative thinking based on our extensive knowledge of different GIS systems and their data models.
GIS, however, is not just about data models and software. Its key component are data. They often represent the most expensive part of the geographic information system and at the same time the most durable component. Several of our customers have replaced the entire GIS platform, but they wanted to keep their data. When preparing and processing data we put high emphasis on their precision and accuracy. A matter of course is a thorough data quality inspection before delivering them to the customer. One of the most frequent requests of our customers is to put a GIS into operation as quickly and efficiently as possible. We can comply with this thanks to our flexible organizational structure.
Implementation of a quality software and data by itself does not make for a successful deployment of GIS in a company. Just like in all other areas of life, the human factor plays a key role here. Our experience shows that when the customer’s employees are not trained well to use a GIS, its contribution to the decision-making and production process is minimal. That is why we strive to build a lasting relationship with the customer, which does not end in installation of software and supply of data.

To our customers we offer training courses focusing on using GIS in their business and both virtual and face-to-face consulting and troubleshooting.
